The Los Angeles Dodgers ink Angel Guzman
The Dodgers have signed 30-year old righty reliever Angel Guzman to a minor league deal. Guzman pitched in 21 games (19 starts) in A-ball last year for the Cubs and he was 0-3 with a 4.04 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors in 2009 with the Cubs, and he was really good that year. Guzman has pitched in 88 games (0 starts) in his first four years in the majors and he is 3-10 with 1 save, a 4.82 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. If Guzman can stay healthy in 2012, he will help the Dodgers in the bullpen at some point because he has a big time right arm.
