Andre Ethier really slowed down in May for the Los Angeles Dodgers
29-year old lefty swinging outfielder Andre Ethier set a new major league record in April for the longest hitting streak ever to start a season. Since then though he has been a little cold with the bat. Ethier has played in 25 games so far in May for the Dodgers and he is 21 for 82 (.256 avg, .705 OPS) with 7 runs scored, 2 homers and 7 RBIs. Ethier’s overall numbers are still looking solid. He has played in 53 games for the Dodgers this year and he is 62 for 190 (.326 avg, .873 OPS) with 22 runs scored, 5 homers and 23 RBIs. The Dodgers probably wouldn’t mind if Ethier decided to drive the ball more at the expense of his batting average, as the team doesn’t have much power at all.
