The Dodgers are taking it slow with 20-year old lefty swinging outfielder Andrew Lambo. Lambo was the Dodgers’ top prospect coming into this season according to Baseball America. But, the Dodgers are deep in the outfield and can give Lambo the time to develop that he needs. Lambo has played in 100 games in AA-ball this season and he is 103 for 387 (.266 avg, .744 OPS) with 59 runs scored, 10 homers and 44 RBIs. The Dodgers did well in not letting the Orioles talk them into adding Lambo in the George Sherrill trade.

Vargas pitched in 8 games (0 starts) for the Dodgers this season and he was 0-0 with a 1.64 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. The Dodgers basically did Vargas a favor as Vinny Rottino is not much of a player.
