Scott Elbert has been converted to the bullpen for the Los Angeles Dodgers

23-year old lefty Scott Elbert has been converted to relief pitching to protect his arm. Elbert has pitched in 11 games (1 start) in AA-Ball for the Dodgers this season and he is 1-1 with a 2.74 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. Elbert was the #4 prospect in the Dodgers’ minor league system according to Baseball America coming into this season so the team is going to be very careful with him. He could develop into a top notch closer in the future as long as he stays healthy.
